As part of the commitment of the College of Business Informatics to the Inmate Education Project, the Dean of the College of Business Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nagham Hamed, paid a visit to the Iraqi Correctional Service, where she met with its Director General, Dr. Majid Al-Mandhour, and his Assistant for Comprehensive Care Affairs.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the inmate students enrolled in the University Education Center at Al-Karkh Central Prison, and ways were explored to overcome the obstacles hindering the continuity of this major humanitarian project, which aims to empower inmates to complete their educational journey and enhance their opportunities for reintegration into society in the future.
For his part, the Director General expressed his full support for the project, affirming the Iraqi Correctional Service’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and continuous coordination with the College of Business Informatics in a manner that contributes to the success of this pioneering humanitarian and educational initiative.
