A master’s thesis defense was held at the Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies (IIPS) at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) presented by the student Karrar Majid Jassim in the field of Computer Science, entitled:
“Intelligent Cyber Security Mechanism for IoT Environment.”

The thesis proposed a lightweight intrusion detection system based on hybrid deep learning, utilizing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, aiming to enhance the efficiency of cybersecurity systems within Internet of Things environments.

At the conclusion of the defense, the student was awarded the Master’s degree in Computer Science with a grade of “Good.”
