The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, received a high-ranking delegation from the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development at the Ministry of Interior, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Honorable Minister of Interior aimed at strengthening scientific partnerships and developing technological capabilities in security institutions.
The delegation included Major General Assistant Director of the Command Directorate and Brigadier General Director of the Information Technology and Security Department at the Higher Institute. During the meeting, prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides were discussed and the requirements for signing a scientific and practical memorandum of understanding were discussed, which is concerned with exchanging expertise, developing training programs, and enhancing applied research work in the fields of cybersecurity, digital transformation, and smart systems.
This visit comes as part of the Ministry of Interior and the University’s efforts to expand knowledge integration paths between academic institutions and security agencies, which will contribute to supporting institutional development programs and preparing qualified human cadres capable of facing modern digital challenges.
The two sides stressed the importance of continuing communication and completing the necessary procedures to activate cooperation, in a way that serves the state’s goals of strengthening the capabilities of security institutions and aligning them with rapid technological developments.
This step reflects the University of Information Technology and Communications’s commitment to its national role in supporting security and digital development programs and fostering effective partnerships between higher education and vital government sectors.
