As part of the University of Information Technology and Communications’ preparations for launching the National Open Government Portal, the university’s Electronic Computing Center organized a training workshop for representatives of the National Center for Digital Transformation – Office of the Prime Minister. This workshop aimed to prepare representatives from all government institutions to train them on the mechanisms for managing the National Open Government Portal, which is expected to launch in the coming days.

This workshop aligns with the directives of the Supreme Committee for Coordinating and Managing Government Activity towards establishing e-governance, formed by Royal Decree No. (22 of 2020), and implements the digital transformation initiatives in state institutions.

The workshop, presented by Professor Zain Al-Abidin Mohammed Saeed and Ms. Sima Mutashar Kanaan, included a detailed explanation of the portal after the completion of its final version, a clarification of user roles in the data upload process, and the mechanism for using the system in accordance with the standards adopted by the relevant government entities.

At the conclusion of the workshop, user accounts were handed over to representatives of the National Center for Digital Transformation, the entity responsible for managing the National Open Government Portal.
