The Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications completed the first training course within the 2026 project for developing and qualifying new staff. The course, which began with a focus on administrative skills, was attended by a number of university staff members from the university administration, the institute, and the three colleges.

The course was held at the university administration building and the Al-Mansour building. It was attended by a number of new staff and faculty members from various disciplines and included theoretical and practical lectures presented by a select group of professors and qualified trainers, including Dr. Ban Qasim from the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department and Dr. Maha Fadhil Ibrahim from the Continuing Education Center. Modern training methods were employed, emphasizing interaction and participation.

This course was implemented in accordance with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s plan for developing and qualifying new staff. It aims to enhance the efficiency of human resources and improve institutional performance, as well as to familiarize participants with the university work environment and its mechanisms, develop their administrative and professional skills, and promote a culture of teamwork.

The course covered several topics, including strategic planning, organization and control, organizational structures, job descriptions, delegation of authority, administrative correspondence, meeting management, feasibility studies, and business process re-engineering. It also introduced the concept of control and its importance in institutional work.

This course was organized as part of the university’s commitment to supporting the career paths of new employees and enhancing their professional and administrative capabilities, which will positively impact the quality of institutional performance and the level of services provided by the university.
