The third day of the Leadership and Innovation Week, organized by the University of Information Technology and Communications under the slogan “Ideas Originate from the Land of the Two Rivers”, and under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, from February 8 to 12, addressed a specialized focus on the mechanisms of business work and the foundations of establishing emerging projects according to modern methodologies that enhance the chances of success and sustainability.

During her lecture entitled “Building a Business Model for an Emerging Project”, Mrs. Maryam Abdul Sattar, Head of the Entrepreneurship and Scientific Innovations Division in the Directorate General of Scientific Welfare at the Ministry of Youth and Sport, reviewed the elements of a business model and the mechanisms for transforming an idea into a viable project, focusing on identifying the proposed value, analyzing the market, and building a revenue and cost structure, which enhances the culture of corporate planning among students and entrepreneurs.

At the conclusion of the event, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Hassan Mshali, presented Mrs. Maryam Abdul Sattar with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her scientific efforts, stressing the University’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with institutions that support the youth sector and entrepreneurship in a way that contributes to enhancing the academic environment that stimulates innovation and creativity.
