A software team from the University of Information Technology and Communications won first place in the second edition of the “Rayateck” international competition, organized by the Start Hub business incubator and its partners, with the aim of employing technology to find innovative solutions to address the challenges facing visitors in Karbala’a.
The winning team included Dr. Ammar Abdrabbah Sakran, developer Suhaib Saleh, and developer Ali Jassem, who presented a project for an integrated electronic platform that combines logistics and support services, with an advanced reporting and statistics system for the operations room, which contributes to enhancing planning, improving coordination, and making decisions during visits.
The competition saw the participation of about 200 projects from various countries, including many projects from Iraqi universities, and they were evaluated according to criteria based on applicability, the effectiveness of the solutions and their impact on serving visitors.
This achievement reflects the outstanding scientific level of the University’s members and its pioneering role in supporting innovation and harnessing modern technologies to serve the community.
