In the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Jaafar Athab Ankoud, and the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Muayad Abdul-Ridha Sahib, and with the participation of a number of faculty members and staff, the Incubator Unit at the College of Engineering, University of Information Technology and Communications, held an event to celebrate National Entrepreneurship Day, which falls on March 4th each year.
The event program included specialized workshops presented by Dr. Ola Adel and Mr. Adham Rabie. Among these was an introductory workshop on the “Riyada” initiative launched by the Prime Minister, highlighting its objectives and application procedures, as well as outlining the opportunities it offers to support entrepreneurial projects and promote a culture of self-employment among students and graduates.
The event also featured a speech by the Dean of the College of Engineering, who emphasized the importance of instilling entrepreneurial concepts within the academic environment, supporting student talent, and transforming creative ideas into productive projects that contribute to serving the community and strengthening the national economy.
The event concluded with a presentation of several outstanding success stories of students and graduates of the College of Engineering, who were able to transform their ideas into successful entrepreneurial projects, in a step that reflects the active role that the college aspires to in supporting innovation and empowering young people.
