The University President, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, chaired the meeting of the scientific committee for the “Crowd Management with Artificial Intelligence” track, as part of the International Scientific Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage organized by the Holy Al-Husseini Shrine, to discuss the ongoing preparations for holding the conference scheduled for August of the current year.

The meeting included Professor Dr. Khamis Awad Zaidan, Assistant President of the Iraqi University for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Adnan from Al-Karkh University, the committee rapporteur. The attendees discussed recent developments in the work and the mechanisms for organizing the scientific track in a way that contributes to achieving the conference’s objectives. They also reviewed the preparations and the progress of the scientific work related to the crowd management track and its applications of artificial intelligence.

The meeting also addressed the follow-up on receiving the scientific papers submitted within the track, as well as the mechanisms for distributing them to specialized reviewers for evaluation according to approved academic standards, ensuring the quality of the scientific outputs.

The University President affirmed his full support for the committee’s work, emphasizing the importance of employing artificial intelligence technologies in crowd management during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, in a way that enhances the safety of visitors, improves the level of organization, and keeps pace with modern scientific developments.
