An academic team from the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Biomedical Informatics, participated in the activities of the cultural festival organized by Al-Israa University. This participation came in response to an official invitation from their counterparts at the College of Science, within the framework of activating the scientific twinning agreement, and in conjunction with the International Day of Girls.
The team’s participation featured an active presence, during which the Head of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems, Assistant Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Qudsi, delivered a speech highlighting the department’s journey and its achievements, shedding light on its role in preparing students equipped with advanced skills in programming, intelligent systems, and medical data analysis.
The festival also included the presentation of applied and high-quality projects by fourth-year students. These projects received wide acclaim from specialists, including Dr. Sultan Ahmed, Director of the Digital Transformation Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who praised the advanced academic level of the projects, in the presence of Dr. Dunya Al-Sheikh Tawfiq, Advisor to the Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives for Relations Affairs.
The participation emphasized the importance of empowering women in the fields of science and technology, strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and the private sector, as well as the need to update curricula in line with the rapid developments in artificial intelligence and labor market requirements. The event concluded with honoring the college team and the students who participated in the festival.
