The College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a specialized workshop entitled “Modern Strategies for Writing Scientific Research and Publishing in High-Impact Journals”, presented by Dr. Ansam Ali Abdul Hussein and Dr. Mayasa Muhammad Ali, with the attendance and participation of a select group of faculty members and researchers.

The workshop aimed to develop the capabilities of researchers, especially in the early stages of their scientific careers, by reviewing the most prominent modern methods and effective practices in preparing scientific research, in accordance with the requirements for publication in reputable international journals.

The workshop’s themes included a presentation of the most important basic pillars in building scientific research, methods of formulating the title and abstract in an accurate and attractive style, as well as emphasizing the originality and scientific importance of the research, and mechanisms for choosing appropriate journals for publication.

The workshop also addressed the most common mistakes that researchers may encounter and that lead to the rejection of their research while providing practical solutions to address them in accordance with approved academic standards.
