As part of its efforts to promote environmental awareness and expand green spaces within the university campus, the College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a tree-planting campaign in cooperation with the Agricultural Division, with the participation of a number of faculty members, staff and students.
The campaign included planting a group of seedlings and trees in the college’s corridors and gardens, with the aim of improving the university environment and creating a healthy and sustainable atmosphere, in addition to establishing a culture of interest in green spaces among students.
The campaign was implemented following joint coordination between the college and the agricultural division, which provided the appropriate seedlings and supervised the planting operations to ensure the success and sustainability of the initiative, and this reflects the participants’ keenness to contribute to the development of the university environment and enhance its civilized appearance.
The Dean of the College of Engineering emphasized the importance of such initiatives in supporting the university’s environmental goals, noting to the continuation of organizing similar activities that contribute to serving the university community and consolidating the concepts of sustainability.
