Under the patronage of the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Biomedical Informatics, Professor Dr. Intisar Shadeed, the college organized a charity bazaar, with its proceeds dedicated to supporting children with cancer.

The bazaar witnessed broad attendance and participation from the college’s students, faculty members, and staff. Its exhibits included handmade crafts, homemade food, and fresh juices, in addition to a selection of plants and seedlings displayed as part of supporting environmental conservation initiatives and promoting a culture of environmental sustainability.

The college administration affirmed during the opening that this initiative is not merely a recreational or marketing activity, but rather carries a clear humanitarian message reflecting the college’s commitment to integrating scientific disciplines in the field of medical informatics with community service. It also aims to encourage students to engage in initiatives with a humanitarian purpose. The proceeds of the bazaar are scheduled to be fully allocated to supporting centers and institutions concerned with caring for children with cancer, as part of the university’s contribution to alleviating their suffering and providing the necessary support.

This event comes as part of the university’s efforts to promote the concept of social responsibility and to reinforce the values of human solidarity and volunteer work among students, faculty members, and administrative staff.
