The conference included two opening addresses. University President Professor Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri emphasized the importance of scientific research and its role in supporting innovation, digital transformation, and building a technologically advanced future in Iraq. Mr. Ahmed Al-Yassiri, Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce in Iraq, highlighted the importance of integration between the academic and business sectors to support innovation and strengthen the digital economy in Iraq.
The conference featured discussions on a number of specialized scientific research papers across multiple themes, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, healthcare, cybersecurity and networks, communication systems, data science, smart applications, and optimization techniques. It also included in-person and virtual sessions and research presentations addressing the latest scientific applications related to digital resilience and interconnected systems.
