As part of the university’s efforts to promote the application of the Bologna Process and develop the educational process in line with global academic standards, the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuous Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications, held a training course on “The Mechanism for Understanding and Building a Course Description According to Bologna Standards,” presented by Assist. Lect. Maha Isma’il Raheem and Assist. Lect. Nagham Mohammed Abdul-Redha.

The course addressed the theoretical and practical aspects of preparing course descriptions according to the requirements of the Bologna Process, with a focus on formulating clear and measurable learning outcomes, and linking them to modern teaching strategies and approved assessment methods, in order to achieve integration between the elements of the educational process and contribute to raising the quality of academic programs.

The session also reviewed the importance of developing curricula in accordance with quality and academic accreditation standards, and enhancing the capabilities of instructors in designing curricula and courses that contribute to preparing graduates who possess the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to keep pace with scientific and technological developments and labor market requirements.

The session emphasized the importance of adopting modern educational practices and developing the academic environment in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in a way that supports achieving more efficient and effective educational outcomes.
