‎As part of its efforts to enhance the quality of education and align its outcomes with labor market requirements, the College of Business Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a scientific seminar entitled “Universities as the Foundation of the Labor Market: The Role of Universities in Developing Competencies and Building Professional Futures”. The seminar hosted Dr. Mustafa Raad Kadhim Al-Rubaie from Xiamen University in the People’s Republic of China, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for international academic cooperation and strengthen its internationalization initiatives.

‎The seminar addressed the pivotal role that universities play in developing scientific and professional competencies and preparing students for effective integration into the labor market. It also highlighted several successful international academic experiences in the fields of innovation, skills development, and the enhancement of specialized capabilities.  In addition,the seminar discussed the importance of graduation projects as an effective tool for strengthening students’ practical and research skills, while bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications.

‎The seminar witnessed notable attendance and engagement from faculty members and administrative personnel, emphasizing the college’s commitment to benefiting from international academic expertise and leveraging it to enhance the educational environment and improve the quality of its outcomes in line with the requirements of development and the labor market.
