The Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications conducted a public defense for the Master’s thesis submitted by the student, Ali Ahmed Ali, specializing in Computer Science. The thesis is titled: Generation Using Summarization Approach”The thesis aimed to develop an intelligent model capable of generating precise and meaningful titles for academic papers. This was achieved by employing automated summarization techniques and keyword extraction, thereby enhancing the efficiency of scientific text processing and reducing the time and effort required for title formulation.The study utilized Luhn’s algorithm to reduce abstract lengths, combined with an optimized version of the YAKE (Yet Another Keyword Extractor) algorithm to extract the most significant keywords. Consequently, the proposed model was trained and evaluated, achieving high levels of accuracy and efficiency in title generation.At the conclusion of the defense session, the examination committee decided to award the student a Master’s degree with a grade of (High Very Good).
