As part of efforts to support digital transformation and leverage technical expertise to serve state institutions, the University of Information Technology and Communications contributed to the design and development of an integrated electronic system that manages and organizes inquiries and visits by students, administrative staff, and citizens at the Examinations Department of the General Directorate of Education in Karbala Governorate.

The Examinations Department hosted a training workshop to introduce the system and its operational mechanisms, and the session was conducted by university representatives—faculty member Dr. Ammar Abd Rabboh Sakran and programmer Ali Jassem—and was attended by the Director General of the Karbala Directorate of Education, Mr. Wamidh Khaleel Al-Tamimi; the Head of the Examinations Department, Mr. Mohammed Jassem Al-Mangoushi; and the heads of the department’s various sections.

The system enables users to book appointments, submit applications, and track their status online, and it also integrates the various units of the Examinations Department into a unified system, thereby accelerating the processing of transactions and reducing the need for in-person visits and overcrowding within the department.

The workshop included a practical demonstration of the system’s components and the mechanism for electronically managing appointments and requests, in preparation for its launch in the coming days.

The development of the system is the result of collaboration between the University of Information Technology and Communications, and the General Directorate of Education in Karbala Governorate—a move that reinforces the use of technological solutions to enhance government services and save citizens time and effort.
