The Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Al-Mousawi, has approved authorizing the councils of universities, colleges, and independent institutes to address the results of postgraduate applicants who scored between 40 and 44 marks on the competitive examination, and this authorization allows for the granting of up to five additional marks, provided that vacant seats are available within the approved admission plan.

This approval aims to provide the greatest possible number of applicants with the opportunity to fill the seats available under the postgraduate admission plan, with the processing and allocation of seats based on the highest competitive score among the eligible applicants.

The Ministry of Higher Education emphasizes the necessity of completing the processing procedures and filling available seats within a period not exceeding three days from the date of notification—applicable to all covered universities, colleges, and institutes without exception—and requires that the Ministry be fully informed of the details of the measures taken and the results of the processing and seat allocation upon the expiration of the specified period.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research also directed the issuance of university admission orders following the completion of the process of filling available seats, in accordance with approved procedures and regulations.
