The Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UOITC) discussed a PhD dissertation presented by the student Nahla Abdul-Nabi Samir, specialized in Computer Science.

The dissertation was titled:
“Authentic Passkey Generation Based on Biometric and Chaotic Systems.”

The research aimed to propose a deterministic, dual-biometric framework for generating fixed-length passkeys using multi-modal inputs combining fingerprint and iris features. This approach seeks to enhance digital authentication security and increase the reliability of the generated passkeys.

The study employed a synthetic coupling mechanism across public fingerprint and iris datasets to increase user diversity and expand the scope of the proposed system’s empirical evaluation.

Moreover, chaotic systems were utilized within the generation process to yield passkeys with optimized cryptographic properties.

Following a comprehensive defense before the examination committee—and an evaluation of its scientific contribution, methodology, and results—the candidate was awarded a PhD in Computer Science with a grade of Very High Distinction
