His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Al-Mousawi, honored students from the University of Information Technology and Communications in recognition of their excellence and high achievement in the community service category of the 2026 National University Championship for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications.

The honoring ceremony took place in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abed Dhahad; the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri; and the University President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Hassan Mshali.

The honoring of the university students followed the championship’s final results, which saw academic and technical competition among student teams from Iraqi universities across six specialized tracks—Agriculture, Community Service, Medical, Industrial, Education, and Environment—featuring innovative projects and solutions that utilize robotics and artificial intelligence technologies.

The University of Information Technology and Communications demonstrated a distinguished presence in the field of community service, reflecting its students’ ability to leverage modern technologies and artificial intelligence to innovate technical solutions that address community needs.
