On September 30th, we commemorate Iraqi Sovereignty Day as a national occasion that embodies pride in Iraq’s independence and sovereignty. We reaffirm our shared responsibility to safeguard its standing and enhance its ability to build its future through the will and capabilities of its people.
Sovereignty is not limited to protecting the land and national decision-making; it is also embodied in possessing the tools of science, knowledge, and technology, and in building robust academic institutions capable of preparing generations equipped with knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to Iraq’s renaissance and progress.
At the University of Information Technology and Communications, we believe that human development, supporting scientific research and innovation, and promoting digital transformation are fundamental pillars for consolidating the strength and sovereignty of the state in a world where knowledge and technology have become among the most important elements of national progress and independence.
On this national occasion, we extend our deepest pride to the people of Iraq, praying to God Almighty to protect Iraq, grant it lasting security, stability, and prosperity, and keep it proud, strong, and sovereign through the will of its people.
May Iraq grow stronger, more sovereign, and more prosperous each year.
