The University of Information Technology and Communications achieved a prominent position in the results of the 2026 RUR World University Rankings by Subject (RUR Subject Rankings), attaining advanced positions at both the national and global levels across several academic disciplines.

The results showed that the university ranked 16th nationally out of 50 ranked Iraqi universities in the field of Computer Science, and 910th globally. In the field of Medicine, the university ranked 18th nationally out of 39 ranked Iraqi universities, and 960th globally.

In the field of Engineering, the university ranked 21st nationally out of 52 ranked Iraqi universities, placing 966th globally. Meanwhile, in Business, Management & Accounting, the university ranked 30th nationally out of 36 ranked Iraqi universities, placing 1,028th globally.

This presence in the RUR World University Rankings by Subject reflects the university’s ongoing academic and research development, as well as its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of education and scientific research and strengthen its presence in international academic rankings.
