The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, held an extensive meeting with the preparatory committee for the 5th Iraqi Forum on Artificial Intelligence—an event organized by the university—to discuss organizational and scientific preparations and to finalize the key elements necessary for the success of its proceedings.

The meeting addressed the determination of prizes for the winning projects, the establishment of terms and criteria for the competition, and the definition of mechanisms for participation and evaluation, and it also reviewed the forum’s agenda and its accompanying scientific and technical events, all of which aim to foster scientific competition and encourage innovation in the field of artificial intelligence.

Al-Bakri emphasized the importance of building upon the successes achieved in previous editions of the forum to deliver a fifth edition that is even more distinguished, with broader participation and more significant scholarly outcomes, and he underscored the necessity of early preparation and coordination among the relevant committees, as well as the need to attract young talent and innovative projects—all of which will further strengthen the university’s standing and its pioneering role in supporting artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

The organization of this forum aligns with the university’s objective to solidify its role as an incubator for technical talent and ideas, and as a platform for supporting artificial intelligence applications and leveraging them to serve society and state institutions.
