The University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), represented by its Student Activities Department, participated in the Billiards Championship for Iraqi public and private universities, hosted by Al-Farahidi University and several other universities from October 18 to 22, 2026.
The championship brought together 69 public and private universities and colleges.
The university was represented by a number of students from the College of Business Informatics.
The delegation was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Imad Kadhim Abdul-Kaabi, Director of the Student Activities Department, and included several faculty members.
This participation was part of the Ministry’s Student Activities Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year and was carried out with the direct support of the University President, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri. It reflects the university’s commitment to encouraging student participation in university sports championships and events, while strengthening its presence in the wider Iraqi university community.
