The Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Information Technology and Communications held an introductory seminar on the Iraqi Youth Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP), funded by the US Embassy for Iraqi Universities students.
The seminar was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Business Informatics and a number of professors and students. It was attended by Engineer Rania Rooney and Dr. Amir Kazem Hadi from the University of Babil who introduced the program and how to participate, the required qualifications, and how to fill out the electronic form.
It is worth mentioning that the program pays for international flights to and from the United States of America, meetings, visa expenses, administration of the visa application process, field visits and study sessions, accommodation and meals, some cultural activities, educational materials, health insurance for illness and accidents and a reasonable amount of expenses Pocket. Participants will be accommodated with host families volunteering to receive participants, as well as in student residences.
Fulbright is one of the international educational exchange programs sponsored by the United States Government. It provides an opportunity for 25 Iraqi academics to spend 10 weeks in a group of American universities to participate in activities aimed at developing teaching abilities, guidance and cultural exchange for faculty members who study at Iraqi universities full-time and demonstrate a serious commitment to teaching. The applicant must demonstrate proficiency in the English language of conversation and writing and specialize in one of the four areas: Teaching English as a Forign Language(TEFL) / Linguistics, Engineering, Science and Technology, or business administration and economics.
