The university hosts the meeting of the National Criminal Justice Commission

The University of Information Technology
and Communications hosted the periodic meeting of the National Commission for the Criminal Justice in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas M. Al-Bakry.

Al-Bakry opened the periodic meeting with a word of guidance in which he stressed the importance of the role of the university in supporting e-government in the criminal justice sector because of the development in the field of computer technology and continuous technical support of the government’s activities and keeping pace with the latest developments in the field of Information and Communicationd Technology.

The committee, headed by Dr. Ali H. Tarash, discussed the agenda of its periodic meeting, which included launching the system of reporting on the two positions and the requirements of its implementation in terms of communications and providing information security in cooperation with the local telecommunications companies in coordination with the office of scientific and advisory services at the university.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in support of the National Committee’s directives in implementing regulations related to supporting the functions of the reform departments in particular and criminal justice in general. The meeting also included representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice and National Security and other related institutions.
