The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, received a member of the Communication and Media Commission, Mr. Abdul Adhim Al-Saleh.
The two sides agreed on the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding between the University and the Communication and Media Commission in order to advance the aspect of digital education, spread electronic culture in society, develop workers in the media and communications sector, and the possibility of establishing development centers at the University with the aim of supporting specialists in this field.
The two parties also discussed ways to develop awareness of electronic culture and participate in a national conference for digital transformation, as well as the participation of the Communication and Media Commission in the World Telecommunication Day Forum, which is held by the University in the fifth month of each year.
Al Bakri spoke about the University holding many conferences, seminars, specialized courses and workshops in the field of informatics for the public and private sectors, as well as job fairs and University student projects, which were held in cooperation with telecommunications and Internet companies.
For his part, the member of the Communication and Media Commission spoke about holding a forum that will include competitions related to information technology, artificial intelligence, information security, and others, which in turn will benefit the participants from the University students in the possibility of adopting such projects by the telecommunications companies.
