The Continuing Education Center at the university, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers / Committee for the Coordination and Management of Government Activity towards e-Government, the training, development and international support team, organized the first development workshop within the third phase in 2023 for the training program for capacity building for employees of state institutions towards electronic transformations.

The workshop, entitled “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity” and presented by Prof. Dr. Haider Kazem Hammoud, a teacher at Al-Mustansiriya University, which was organized over three days from 14-16/3/2023, dealt on the first day with the definition of the basics of cybersecurity and personal cybersecurity, how to secure work and address the types of electronic attacks that can affect the institution or company, as well as enhancing awareness of cybersecurity.

On the second day, the focus was on the axis of artificial intelligence and understanding its fundamental, the effectiveness and application of the advantages of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in activating cybersecurity, In the third axis, the lecturer dealt with machine learning applications in cybersecurity, deep learning applications and smart firewall, Indicating systems for detecting smart phishing of malware and preventing the infiltration of virus attacks and ways to prevent them
