The University of Information and Communication Technology participated in a workshop on the requirements for planning and implementing the Bologna process in Iraqi universities to identify the Bologna process and ways to implement it at the university. Under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The lecture was presented electronically by a professor at Koya University. Erbil and the expert in quality assurance and curriculum development at the Ministry of Higher Education, Prof. Salah Ismail Yahya, in which he touched on how to manage the process of change, what are the problems and challenges of the current Iraqi higher education system, why the Bologna track was directed in the education system and what countries can join the track.

The Bologna track was defined as intergovernmental cooperation from 48 European countries in the field of higher education, directs the collective effort of public authorities, universities, teachers and students, together with stakeholder associations, and employers, quality assurance agencies, and international organizations, and enterprises, including the European Commission, On how to improve the internationalization of higher education.

The main focus was on the introduction of the three-course system (Bachelor / Master / PhD), Enhance quality assurance and ease of identification of qualifications and periods of study.

At the end of the workshop, They discussed ways to integrate the Bologna process with the current educational system to ensure the quality of education in Iraq mainly and in a record period.
