The President of the University of Information and Communication Technology, Prof. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, met with the university’s teachers to discuss a number of important topics.
At the beginning of his speech, Al-Bakri praised all university employees on the occasion of the graduation ceremony of university students, Al-Bakri also mentioned the educational and moral role of teaching and transferring successful experiences to students and making a good example for them and allocating an amount of lecture time to provide advice and exhortation in light of the deviant circumstances and ideas that spread among young people in the world in general and eliminate imported ideas and practices that violate our religion and morals.
Al-Bakri praised the humanitarian initiative launched by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research from our university, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria. He added that the university will collect donations through a fund designated for this matter, and the donation will be material or in kind with the materials needed by families and families affected by the earthquake, including baby milk, which is an actual and urgent need for life, as well as medical and food materials.
The President of the University and his scientific and administrative assistants also touched on the subject of scientific research and publishing in international and local journals, especially the university journal. And the possibility of addressing or developing solutions to problems and crises through scientific research, where the specialization of the university and its faculties enters into all areas of life, The focus was on paying attention to the reality of projects and programs submitted by students, especially the projects that are selected to participate in the job fair, which will be attended by institutions and companies from both sectors and thus can be marketed to some beneficiaries.
