The University of Information Technology and Communications won sixth place in the Iraqi Universities World Debate Competition.
The University President, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, attended the closing ceremony, which was in the conference hall at Al-Nahrain University, where the Ministry’s Advisor, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Hussein Attiya, represented the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The University won sixth place among the 73 participating Iraqi universities, while student Murtadha Haider Hassan from the Business Informatics College /Department of Business Information Technology was among the top ten competing students.
The head of the incubator unit at the college, Assist. Prof. Alaa Talal Yassin, participated as a trainer for the University team, accompanied by the head of the rehabilitation and employment division at the University, Lect. Radhwan Salem Ghanem.
