The Legal Affairs Department at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized an awareness lecture on the legal protection of new appointees in academic institutions, as per the vision of the University’s Service Law.
The lecture covered the definition of University Service Law No. 23 of 2008 and the legal regulations for new appointees in academic institutions.
The lecture aimed to highlight some of the problems faced by new appointees with degrees, particularly the issue of indexed publication requirements in international repositories to allow new appointees to teach, and to explain the legal intersections with such conditions, as well as the guarantees that include protection for new appointees, including interference in job responsibilities.
The lecture was presented by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Aziz Jaber, head of the university’s legal department, and Assistant Professor Rami Ahmed Kazem from Ibn Rushd College of Education at the University of Baghdad.
