As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the university environment, the Agricultural Division has campaigned to rehabilitate and landscaping the College of Engineering’s garden, reflecting the college’s commitment to providing a comfortable and stimulating learning environment for students.
The work was carried out under the direct supervision of the Division’s Head, Engineer Ali Majid, who confirmed that this initiative is part of the Division’s plan to beautify green spaces and improve the environment throughout the college.
The rehabilitation work included improving the old plants, redistributing trees and plants in an elegant manner, and planting new types of flowers. Natural grass was also planted to cover the dust areas and enhance the overall landscape, which contributed to enhancing the garden’s appearance and making it a suitable place to relax between lectures.
This initiative was widely welcomed by university professors, lecturers, and students, who expressed their gratitude for the efforts made, emphasizing the importance of green spaces to enhance a positive atmosphere on campus.
This campaign is a continuation of our university’s National Afforestation Day activities, as rehabilitation work continues to include other parts of the park and the university as a whole. The goal is to create a more vibrant and beautiful environment and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, including: the Third Goal: Good Health and Well-being, the Fourth Goal: Quality Education, and the Thirteenth Goal: Improving Climate Action.
