The Student Activities Department at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the First Dialogue Forum for Wood Badge Leaders in Iraqi public and private universities, hosted by Al-Bayan University, with wide participation from representatives of universities and academic institutions.
The university’s delegation was represented by Assit.lec.Noufal Majid Mohi, head of the scouting activities division. The forum featured extensive discussions addressing the current state of scouting activities in Iraqi universities, highlighting the main challenges and obstacles it faces, while proposing solutions to develop this vital sector and enhance its role in fostering students’ leadership and volunteer skills.
This participation aligns with the directives of the Student Activities Department within the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, aiming to address observations related to scouting activities and work towards overcoming them. Additionally, a group of Wood Badge leaders will be selected to represent Iraq as international leaders in this field, contributing to the advancement of university scouting movements and strengthening their presence at both regional and international levels.
