With the aim of raising awareness about the importance of environmental accounting practices and their role in supporting governance and resource conservation, the Department of Control and Auditing, in cooperation with the Continuous Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications, organized a symposium titled “Environmental Accounting Costs and Disclosure in Resource Protection and Improving Managerial Performance.”
The symposium, presented by Assist Lecturer . Ayat Adnan, a faculty member in the Department of Control and Auditing, introduced the concepts of resource optimization, environmental costs, and environmental accounting disclosure.
It also highlighted its role in enhancing transparency and supporting managerial decision-making to improve institutional performance and achieve sustainable development.
This symposium is part of the scientific activities organized by the Department of Control and Auditing, aimed at establishing a culture of scientific research and keeping pace with current developments in the accounting and managerial fields to enhance institutional performance efficiency.
