The Dean of the Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Suha Muhammad Hadi, participated in the Iraqi Smart Cities Forum, which was organized by the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and the International Chamber of Commerce in Iraq in coordination with the Ministry of Construction and Housing.
The Dean of the Institute pointed out in the “The Future of Smart Cities in Iraq” symposium, which was held at the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, the need to strive towards building smart cities in Iraq to join the ranks of regional countries and developed countries around the world, and to exploit Iraqi energies in the fields of technology and information in order to enriching the experience of these cities in the future.
The symposium was attended by a group of specialists from the Ministry of Planning and the Investment Authority, in addition to many companies in the private sector concerned with the future of smart cities in Iraq.
This symposium will be an essential preparatory step for the launch of the first Iraqi Smart Cities Forum, scheduled to be held in February 2025.
