The teaching staff (Asst. Lect. Joan Kanaan Alwan) from the Faculty of Biomedical Informatics and (Dr. Rula Amjad Hamed) and (Lect. Sura Fawzi Ismail) from the Business Informatics College published with the participation of (Lect. Dr. Ahmed Shehab Ahmed) from the Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies joint scientific research in the Australian Journal of Network and Computer Applications under the classification Q1.
The research is entitled (IoT-based telemedicine for disease prevention and health promotion: State-of-the-Art), which aims to conduct a systematic study of progress in telemedicine engineering used to monitor and detect diseases that can be overcome by the Internet of Things (IoT) for the years 2014 to 2020.
This comprehensive study examined 2,121 papers from three databases: Science Direct, IEEE, and Web of Science. The research motives, recommendations and challenges that need the attention of researchers in many disciplines have been identified, and it also lists a set of open issues and provides major innovative solutions for each of them. Fourteen disease groups have been classified and the context of their work is drawn within the IoT Based Telemedicine principle.
