The University of Information Technology & Communications (UoITC) has celebrated the graduation of its students for the academic year 2022-2023 (Tofan Al-Aqsa Batch) amid an official presence represented by the representative of the Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, university presidents, deans of colleges and government officials. The ceremony has been attended also by the students’ families and distinguished guests.

Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan, representative of the Minister of Higher Education congratulated the students and professors of the University, noting that the students are harvesting the fruits of their academic efforts over the past years.
Dr Abdul Hassan thanked and praised the teaching staff for preparing this group of graduates who will serve their community in the best way.
The President of the University, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, said in his speech that the colleges and their departments that were created within the university are compatible with the future specializations that the society needs, adding that these specializations will be the basis for the human resources for the next stage of future professions and are consistent with objectives and requirements of the United Nations Human Development Programme.
Al-Bakri stated that the university has a good relationship with state institutions in and the private sector, as the university has implemented many programs and applications, foremost of which is its sponsorship of the capacity building and development program for employees of government ministries, which was launched by the international training, development and consulting team that we chair in Diwani Order No. 22 of 2020 for digital transitions.

He added that the university also launched a program for educating inmates and granting them an academic certificate in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, as well as electronic services provided for the benefit of some Iraqi ministries and universities in addition to the ministry’s departments and centers.
After that, the parade ceremony has began, the chanting of the graduation oath, the speech of the representative of the graduate students, and the reciting of poetry and chants.
In the end, the top students at the university were honored with a shield of excellence, gifts, and certificates of appreciation by the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, several presidents of public and private universities, the representative of the Media and Communications Commission, and a representative of the Abbas Holy Shrine.
