Students from the University of Information Technology and Communications won first place in the Iraqi University Debates World Cup, which was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the International Academy for Leadership and Development and hosted by the University of Technology.
The scientific debate was held within its eleventh phase, as the Ministry/Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Department of Development and Human Development completed most of the universities in the south and center.
The University of Technology hosted the debate finals, and the university team participated with the teams of the University of Technology, Uruk Private University, and Al-Mansour University College in scientific debate competitions to win and qualify in the Iraqi Universities Debate World Cup.
The final result was that the information Technology and communications team, consisting of students Murtada Haider Hassan, Mukhtar Haider Hussein, and Iman Muhammad Dhaheeb, won the three rounds. The teaching staff in the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Division, Radwan Salem Ghanem, also participated as an arbitrator, while she supervised the teaching students in the College of Business Informatics Dr. Alaa Talal Yassin.
It should be noted that the winning team at the local level will represent Iraq in the World Universities Championship, which will be held in Qatar.
