The Department of Scientific Affairs, in cooperation with the Smart Cities Division, organized a scientifics seminar on (Pollution monitoring System) in the presence of a number of teachers and university employees.
The seminar aims to raise awareness of the risks of pollution, encourage active participation and take responsibility among all members of society, and enhance the role of students in preserving the environment. The seminar showed that the environment in general faces serious global challenges represented by climate change, air pollution, scarcity of water resources, deterioration of biological diversity, land deterioration, etc., stressing the importance of promoting the concept of sustainable development. The seminar recommended the necessity of activating environmental laws, increasing scientific studies, environmental research and statistical resources, and setting practical principles and plans in encouraging sound environmental applications in the family and society to change wrong practices and preserve the environment for sustainable development.
