Within the framework of cooperation between Iraqi universities and to achieve the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations, which are the fourth goal (quality education) and the seventeenth goal (concluding partnerships to achieve the goals), the University of Information Technology and Communications concluded a cooperation agreement with the Northern Technical University that addressed several axes.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, gave a lecture on digital transformation, reviewing scientific statistics, the importance of digital transformation, problems, obstacles, and proposed solutions.
The University delegation was represented by a group of professors from the Computer Center, including the head of the Center, Dr. Samer Muhammad, the Assist. Lect. Osama Samir Mahmoud, and the employee, Suhaib Saleh, also gave presentations on the University’s achievements in the field of digital transformations, the completion of the studies, planning and follow-up portal project, and the central admission portal.
A lecture was also given on hosting the data and applications necessary for the digital transformation process, and a review of the types of technologies used in the field of Cloud Hosting and the University’s experience in establishing a local data center for the University to host the University’s applications and systems.
During the University delegation’s visit to the Northern Technical University, a meeting was held between the two sides in which some technical inquiries were discussed and appropriate solutions were proposed.
