The University of Information Technology and Communication (UoITC) concluded the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week with presenting a lecture on intellectual property.
The lecture was given by the lecturer Adham Rabie from the College of Engineering, in which he addressed the protection of ideas, inventions, and innovations.
The lecturer also focused on patents, trademarks, and copyrights, explaining the authorities responsible for patent registration, which is the central body for evaluation and quality control.
He clarified the requirements for obtaining a patent by submitting a title, a summary of the idea, and a detailed structure.
Dr. Alaa Talal, a lecturer at the College of Business Informatics, also announced the results of the participation in the competition launched by the university.
Shahad Mohsen Halim, a student from the College of Engineering, won first prize, and the student, Suhaib Raed Rasheed, won second prize, while the third prize went to the student Manhal Moaz Manhal from the College of Business Informatics.
After the event, the three winners were honored by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Louay Edwar George.
