The President of the University of Information Technology & Communications, Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, participated in the Arab Forum for Telecommunications and Digital Financial Solutions in the Republic of Tunisia as a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Al-Bakri chaired the first session, which was entitled “The Role of the Telecommunications’ Sector in Promoting Financial Inclusion”
The session also witnessed the participation of the former Minister of Communications of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Engineer Hani Mahmoud, the Head of Programs and Projects at the Arab Organization for Information Technology in Tunisia, Ms. Nada Al-Obaidi, the General Director of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the State of Palestine, Mr. Khaled Zuhd, and the Executive Director of the Arab Women’s Center for Training and Research in the Republic of Tunisia Dr. Sakina Berwari.

During the forum, Dr. Al-Bakri was honored by the Director General of the Arab Organization for Administrative Development at the League of Arab States, Dr. Nasser Al-Hattlan Al-Qahtani.

It is noteworthy that the forum was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, the head of the Arab Gulf Program for Development ” AGFUND”
