The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the University of Information Technology and Communications held an awareness seminar on the role of rehabilitation centers in drug recovery.
Dr. Hana Salim Ghanem, a lecturer at the College of Biomedical Informatics, and Nidal Gumer Abdel Wahed, head of the Division of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance, discussed the role of rehabilitation centers for treating cases of drug addiction, including the Al-Ataa Medical Center for addiction treatment and psychological rehabilitation.
The seminar clarified the causes and justifications that lead to addiction, including family disintegration, bad friends, and moral deviation. The seminar also proposed some solutions that limit its spread among young people in particular, including returning to study, sports, and developing skills. The seminar also showed that the process of psychological and medical rehabilitation and pushing the addict or user to review Addiction treatment and psychological rehabilitation centers can come through the encouragement of family and friends for the sake of human health and integration into society as a good individual, in addition to the role of educational, legal and supervisory bodies and civil society organizations and their concerted efforts to eliminate this scourge.
