The Presidency of the University of Information and Communication Technology, Women’s Empowerment Division, celebrated International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day.

The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, congratulated the university teachers, employees and students on this happy occasion, in which he said that influential female figures in society must be emulated, citing Quranic verses and religious symbols that mentioned the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet.

For her part, Dr. Asmaa Abdel Hussein, official of the Women’s Empowerment Division at the university, spoke in her speech, in which she mentioned the interest and affirmation of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in the decision to include women in the success of the government program under the slogan (Women are partners in achieving sustainable development). Stressing the need to involve women in all aspects of life.

The celebration also included presentations by one of the students, in which she addressed the distinguished women in the world who have Arab origins in the world of technology and the information revolution, A number of students presented electronic programs and systems that facilitate the life and practical aspects.

At the end of the celebration, which included words, poems, songs and songs that sang the mother’s love, flowers and sweets were presented to all employees and students. A group of university employees and teachers were also honored with certificates of appreciation for their excellence in the achievement of their work. And honoring one of the workers at the university in faith and appreciation for her efforts in completing her work and a sense of motherhood emotion.
