The University of Information Technology and Communications held its seventh international scientific conference under the title (New Trends in Information and Communications Technology Applications NTICT’23).

The conference was held in cooperation with AlMustaqbal University.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced in his speech, during the opening of the conference, the return of the Arab Union of Scientific Research Councils to its main headquarters in the Iraq capital of Baghdad. He pointed out that the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which were crowned with success in this initiative, were based on the guidance of the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa’ Al-Sudani.

President of UoITC, Dr. Abbas Al-Bakri pointed out that artificial machine learning and information technology are very important nowadays to increase productivity and efficiency in the world. He declared the number of researchers and keynote speakers who participate from inside and outside Iraq and how to make use of their research papers in the future. He stressed the university’s commitment to all governmental institutions by offering intensive training in the field of technology.

Communications Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Hassan Al-Khatibb said that the university has the opportunity to fill the gap between what’s possible and what’s prevalent outside Iraq and the state that we suffer from due to the lack of awareness in the technological field.

Representative of the president of the University of Al Mustaqbal Dr. Bayan Sabbar noted that NTICT conference was a success because the keynote speakers specialized in the same field of IT and IoT.

Member of the Board of Commissioners of the Media and Communications Commission Mr. Abdul Adhim Muhammad Al-Saleh said that the University of Information Technology and Communications is one of the leading universities in holding scientific conferences, and the participation of the Media and Communications Commission is effective in such forums due to the support it provides to the communications and information technology sector.

It is noteworthy that the conference included two topics: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

Twenty-eight scientific research were presented at the conference in various scientific specializations in the field of technology, and the researchers were honored.
