Biomedical Informatics organizes a seminar to introduce the danger of drugs to the individual and society

College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a seminar entitled “The Role of the Recovery Organization in Reducing the Danger of Drugs” as part of cooperation and awareness programs.

The seminar presented by the faculty member Dr. Hanaa Salim Ghanem and Head of the Recovery Organization Mr. Issam Kashish dealt with The danger of drugs to the individual and society and the importance of spreading awareness about ways of prevention and treatment.

The seminar reviewed real stories of people who were able to recover from addiction and the steps and solutions that helped restore their lives in a positive way.

This seminar is part of the Recovery Organization’s program, implemented under the guidance of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of national efforts to protect youth and build a conscious and healthy society.

Participation of the College of Biomedical Informatics Staff in the Major Afforestation Campaign

The staff of the College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the major afforestation campaign launched by the Baghdad Municipality / Al-Karkh Center Municipal Department, under the patronage of the Prime Minister. This campaign is part of a community initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and increasing green spaces in the capital.

The campaign aims to plant more than 300,000 trees in various areas of Baghdad, in support of the environment, to reduce pollution, and to improve air quality.

The college staff contributed by planting a number of perennial trees in the central reservation of Al-Kindi Street in the Al-Harithiya neighborhood, emphasizing the importance of such voluntary initiatives in improving environmental conditions and promoting a community culture geared toward a healthy and sustainable environment.

The Business Informatics College organizes a tree-planting campaign to enhance the University environment

In line with government efforts to increase green spaces and improve the environment, the Business Informatics College at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a tree-planting campaign.
This initiative coincided with the Baghdad Municipality’s launch of the capital’s largest tree-planting campaign, which involved planting thousands of trees, and the college’s Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with a number of University faculty and students, contributed to planting a number of trees and plants around the College’s external perimeter.
The college’s deanship emphasized that this campaign falls within the framework of its commitment to preserving the University environment and raising student awareness of the importance of afforestation and its role in improving climate and reducing pollution, and it also aims to add a more aesthetically pleasing and vibrant appearance to the facade of the University, the College, and the roads leading to them.
