Qualification and Employment Division Organizes a Training Course for the “Riyada” Initiative

In cooperation with the College of Business Informatics, the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the University of Information Technology and Communications completed a course for the Riyada Initiative, affiliated with the Council of Ministers. The course was held over five days at the Center (No. 2) under the supervision of the Head of the Qualification and Employment Division at the University, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Talal Yasin. Participants were trained to prepare project plans and feasibility studies for small projects. It is worth noting that the “Riyada” initiative was launched under the patronage of the Prime Minister, aiming to enhance a supportive investment environment for youth and job seekers by developing their skills and qualifying them for the labor market through small economic projects. This, in turn, contributes to meeting diverse needs and achieving multiple competencies according to the target segments.

The Business Informatics College organizes a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal immigration

The Business Informatics College at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a media campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal immigration, as part of its efforts to spread awareness among students about the challenges and risks facing irregular migrants.
The campaign included distributing awareness brochures to students, containing information and guidance that highlighted the legal and social risks of illegal immigration, Also, signs were installed throughout the college, aiming to educate young people about the need to seek legal and safe alternatives to achieve their ambitions. The college emphasized that this campaign falls within its social responsibility and commitment to guiding students toward safe and sustainable future choices, emphasizing the importance of raising community awareness of this national and humanitarian issue.

Medical Informatics Holds a Workshop on Establishing Simple Companies

In cooperation with the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce – Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, the College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a workshop on establishing small businesses. The workshop, delivered by Ms. Muntaha Turki from the Entrepreneurship Department at the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, aims to develop students’ skills and enhance their awareness of entrepreneurship concepts and company establishment procedures. Such workshops, in collaboration with specialized entities, seek to build students’ professional abilities and open up new horizons and practical opportunities for them, as well as achieve the seventeenth Sustainable Development Goal, which is “partnerships for achieving goals”.
