Professors Attend Iftar Banquet for the Ministry of Youth and Sports

Many university professors and students attended the Ramadan iftar banquet organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Scientific Care Department. During the meeting, which was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ahmed Al-Mubrak, and Dr. Ahmed Saad Aliwi, the Director General of the Scientific Care Department, a dialogue session was held alongside the iftar banquet in honor of the participating university professors involved in the programs of the Scientific Care Department. Among the attendees was Dr. Alaa Talal Yassin, head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University of Information Technology and Communications, along with several other professors from various faculties. This initiative is part of a plan to enhance communication with university professors and to open new avenues for work and development in academic fields, enabling professors and innovators to present ideas and proposals that promote advancement in higher education. For his part, the minister emphasized that the efforts made by the department are a source of pride due to the large number of professors who have proven their efforts. He also highlighted the ministry’s work in the field of higher education and the significant progress it has achieved as a result of collaborative efforts.

Biomedical Informatics Participates in the National Afforestation Campaign

The College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the national tree-planting campaign, in cooperation with AL Karkh Municipality and the Municipal Awareness Department at the Baghdad Mayoralty. The campaign witnessed remarkable participation of a number of lecturers and students, who planted trees and different plants to support the increase in vegetation cover and green areas in the city. This initiative aims to reduce pollution and improve air quality and is a confirmation of the college’s commitment to its social responsibility and its efforts to create a sustainable environment for future generations.
